Nancy M. Hogan, a resident of Cambridge, and formerly of Melrose, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 48 years old.
Nancy was born on June 5, 1963 in Boston, one of five children of Mary (Barron) Hogan, and the late John J. Hogan. She was raised in Melrose where she graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1981, and then attended Fisher College. She moved to California and lived in San Francisco and Northern California for nearly 20 years, working as a travel agent before returning home to live in Cambridge.
Nancy was the cherished daughter of Mary (Barron) Hogan of Melrose and the late John J. Hogan. Beloved sister of Marilyn "Lyn" Doran and her husband Stephen of N. Reading, Joann O'Keefe and her husband Patrick of Greenland, NH, Thomas Hogan and his wife Christine of Sandwich, and Matthew Hogan and his wife Dara of Andover. Loving niece of Eileen Sullivan of Norwood, and Thomas Barron of Springfield and Helen Hogan of Stuart, FL and Tipperary, Ireland. Caring aunt of John, Alexandra, Luke, and Peter O'Keefe, Amanda, Sara, and James Doran, Katherine "Katie", Thomas John "TJ", Kevin, and Kealy Hogan.
Relatives and friends may honor and remember Nancy's life by gathering for her Funeral Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield on Tuesday, April 24, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham. Gifts in honor of Nancy may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose.
