Tribute & Message From The Family

Margaret A. "Peggy" Richardson, longtime resident of Melrose, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. She was 68.

Born in Jamaica Plain on June 23, 1953, Peggy was one of three children of the late Robert and Sally (Marsolais) Kennedy. She worked in customer service for Stoneham Fuel for many years where she made numerous lifelong friends.

Peggy loved a simple life. She adored her family and was exceptionally proud of her grandson. She enjoyed going to the beach, the company of her cats, going out to eat, and an occasional trip to Foxwoods.

Peggy was a lovely, selfless lady who would give you the shirt off her back. Her warmth and kindness will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Peggy was the beloved wife of Gary Richardson with whom she shared 33 years of marriage. Devoted mother of the late Gary Huber. Dear sister of Sally French and her husband James of New Hampshire, and Susan Bell of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Benjamin R. Huber.

Relatives and friends will gather in honor of Peggy's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, September 16 from 4-7pm, and again on Friday for her Funeral Service celebrated at 10am. Masks are kindly requested.
