Tribute & Message From The Family

Christine E. Paris, resident of Medford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 57 years old.

Born in Boston on March 29, 1964, Christine is one of four children of the late Donna Jean Marie (Kelley) Paris. She grew up in Charlestown and Somerville, later graduating from Somerville High School.

After starting her family, Christine received her certification to become a phlebotomist. She loved her work and took great pride in connecting with each of her patients. Her friendly and easy way put her patients at ease. She began her carrier at Beth Israel then at Hallmark Health in Medford, where she made numerous lifelong friendships.

Family and friends were the most important thing in Christine's life. She and her beloved Paul were married on September 7, 2003. She adored Paul, her children, and grandchildren. She loved being a mom and was exceptionally active in her family's life.

She was generous, kind, loving, and always up for a good shopping trip. Black Friday was one of her favorite days to shop despite all the craziness.

Christine's family will miss her words of love and support, her selflessness to anyone in need, and her bright blue eyes. She will be missed by all who were blessed to be a part of her life, but certainly not forgotten.

Christine was the devoted wife of Paul R. Tavanese with whom she shared 18 years of marriage. Beloved mother of Corina Paris of Medford, Christopher Paris of Saugus, Vincent, and Marc-Anthony Tavanese both of Medford. Loving sister of Donna and Karen Paris, and brother Thomas McNelley. She was the proud grandmother of Anthony, Alexandria, Autumn, Alexis, and Ava.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, Sept. 10 from 4-8pm. All will meet on Saturday at the Parish of the Immaculate Conception, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, for her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10am.

Masks are kindly requested.

To the Dear Family of Christine,

A beautiful mother, wife and grandmother. Knowing you for only the past four years since our sons started College together, you opened up your heart and home to my son. Treating him and us as though we were your family. I knew immediately upon meeting you and your family, my son was in good hands. You made us feel as though we knew you forever. I will miss our holiday face time chats when the boys would call each other while on breaks. I can now only regret that we didn't get to see Christine our last visit up in Boston, when bringing Stephen back to college. Your mom raised you all as a beautiful, close family and knowing Vincent the most, he is a true reflection of his mom.

Know that although your mom may not be here in body, she will always be here in spirit. Trust me, you will feel her presence and know that she is with you. An angel will always send you signs.

I thank God for allowing us to meet Christine and bringing such a beautiful person and family into our life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God Bless You and bring you comfort while grieving your loss.

The Rykola Family,

Christine, not even sure how to begin because I still don't understand WHY God called you home. I guess you were too good for this world. Your place in heaven was waiting and now we are all left with beautiful memories of such a beautiful person! We were family from the very start. Since day one when I met you I knew immediately we would be life long friends and family forever! You have raised such amazing children and you loved them so very much. My heart is ripped in pieces and my world will never be the same. I know we have to move on because you would want that for all of us but damn it's so hard! I will never go a day without looking up into the clouds and saying I love you. We texted each other those words every single day and I will forever continue to tell you. You have touched our family so deeply and we are struggling to get through this loss. I know you missed your mom so deeply and I am positive you are holding her right now and telling her all about your beautiful children and grandchildren. You will be sadly, deeply and madly missed. You touched so many lives and you probably didn't even realize it. I miss you more than you could ever imagine and more than I could ever imagine but I know you are now an angel above and God needed you more. I love you Christine Paris and you will NEVER be forgotten! Until we meet again my forever friendmy forever family!

Paul, Chris and Family, Although we did not see each other much in later years, I will never forget her wonderful smile, beautiful blue eyes, and her love for her family. She was a very special person to us and we used to look forward to the annual Halloween visits with Vincent and Mark! Chris and Stephen had a great bond from early kindergarten on. God bless you all. You have gained a guardian angel in heaven! Love, Maureen and Gary

You embraced us the day we moved onto Paris Street. You were an amazing support for Elizabeth our daughter who only shared the earth with us for 10 years. I can't even imagine the neighborhood without you.
I know you will look after Elizabeth, there is no doubt that you already have your place in heaven!

Christine was a lovely person. She welcomed me into her heart and her family with open arms when I became Corina's big sister. Always had a smile and a hello when I have see her in more recent years. She was a bright light who will be sorely missed.

My dearest Christine, you were one of my oldest friends, since we were 15 years old. We shared so many good times and so many laughs (most of them on video), and dare I say so many blood tests (you were the best phlebotomist). I'll cherish all the holidays we shared together and I'll never forget your contagios laugh and your beautiful crystal blue eyes. Say hi to my husband for me and give him a big hug and kiss. Until we meet again, and just remember our secret joke that you will always be a month older lol. XOXOXO
